Weird Case of Swashbuckler's Backstab Damage Multiplier at Three Godsdamn' AM

I noticed something odd and I have no idea if that's even a bug, so. I currently have both BGEE and BG2EE (identical versions, identical OS) installed on two different machines, the only difference being the xp cap remover+Level 40 Rule Set. Freshly rolled Swashbuckler in BG2EE (both installations) has BSx0, makes sense. In BGEE, of two new characters one ends up with BSx0, and the other BSx1... Statistics say that x0 is the correct version, but why the alternative one? EEKeeper corrects it automatically to x0, BUT the characters with 0 imported to bugged game get it changed to x1 again.
Level 40 works in mysterious ways so it's the prime suspect right now, but why would it cause such a thing? Anyone noticed something similar? My experience with Swashbuckler kit is close to zero so I'm out of ideas.

In my BGT Swashy's character screen it says "Backstab Damage: x1" This makes perfect sense.
My BGEE Swashy has a "Backstab Multiplier x0".
Backstab Multiplier x0 makes sense if you interpret it as "Backstab Multiplier: none". Backstab Multiplier x1 makes sense if you read it as "Backstab Damage Multiplier: x1", much like the orginal game's description.
Have tried backstabs? I take it this is merely a curious cosmetic inconsistency. Or do you notice any differences in the in-game description and the damage output? Does anything happen if you edit in the Short Sword of Backstabbing?
