New Area Visits

I don't know if this has already been asked for on this forum, so I'll ask.
I'm one of those players who prefer to create a party of 6 custom characters so I can play through those. The new areas and quests however, only seem to work whenever I have one of the new NPC's in my party, which is what I don't want. All of the other areas of the game you could visit even if I don't have the NPC with them (Nalie at De' Narse Keep, etc.) At some point could we be able to visit these new areas without the new NPC's so I don't break up my party?
