All Clerics party No-reload SCS BG2 run

CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
I'm been thinking of this run since a long while ago, but actually never started it until now, I'll be playing with a full party of Clerics and Cleric multi-classses (3 clerics, a fighter/cleric, a cleric/thief and a cleric/mage to be precise), I know that it would have been easy if it wasn't for SCS, and that playing with a full party always gives an easy gamely (well, mostly).
As I am using the Multikit mod (find out more about it here), I am going to kit my PC (Dwarven F/C) as a Berserker/Battleguard of Tempus, my C/T as Heartwarder of Sune/Swashbuckler and my C/M as Lorekeeper of Oghma/Conjurer.

Cool, enjoy the ride! Everytime someone comes up with some kind of themed playthrough I'll encourage them. Love it :D

Not sure if playing 3 multiclasses would more difficult than a 6 man party btw.

    They are 3 multi-classes and 3 clerics more ;)
I don't think it's going to be too difficult, but getting money to buy stuff for 6 and to pay 45/60k to Gaelan Bayle seems like there is going to be some challenge at least (plus another 20k for the Mage license).

Sorry, I misread your first post.
Very nice. Will you be posting a journal?

Holy Strategist of the Red Knight; Female; Lawful Neutral; Antigona; Half-Orc; NPC.
Firewalker of Kossuth; Male; Chaotic Good; Tiresias; Human; NPC.
Feywarden of Corellon; Male; Chaotic Good; Valiuardil; NPC.
Lorekeeper of Oghma/Conjurer; Female; Lawful Neutral; Euridice; Half-Elf; NPC.
Berserker/Battleguard of Tempus; Male; Chaotic Good; Tharom Silverhammer; Dwarf; PC.

    A full cleric party without a ranger/cleric?
    You're too fair :)

Divine Remix nerfs Cleric/Rangers a lot, and I never liked them myself much.

Yeah, I know, I created them in a rush some they have several flaws, gonna take 2 points from WIS and put them into CHA, seems nice to me.

@Blackraven thanks! I know that the journal very confusing, fisrt there are parts of Euridice's, Tiresias', Antigona's and Tharon's journals talking about their thinkings and then their bakgrounds, it also tells a little bit of gameplay.
Then it's all from Tharon, I'll say whom is writing next time, because it's pretty confusing.

    Euridice's Journal-
We met three dryads whose intentions were clear: escaping the Dungeon. They knew who had caged us and told our group his name; Irenicus. The Fay creatures pointed us to some Acorns that could make their trees to grow again outside this place and encouraged Thoran to take them to the Faery Queen near Windspear's Hills, since they were not able of leaving this dungeon on their own.
The corridor continued until a room, of which beauty I still shocked, but it was trapped with poisonous arrows and evil magics. Ismena discovered and disarmed all the traps and luckily did not step into any. She opened the chests to find a Gem, that could be used as the pommel of a long sword, a pair of Bracers of Defense and more than one scroll inscribed with Arcane magic.
    image
Our search for an escape continued, and that took us to find a small statue of an Air Elemental, at the suggestion of Antigona, who confirms that she heard the rushing of the wind nearby, I tried touching a door with it, and the gate opened at the same time the figure vanished form my hands. Into the round was a completely new Realm, possibly of air, as we found more Mephits form that Plane.
    image
    ? Mirtul, 1369; Antigona.
More of this Planar-creatures attacked us, they are weak but they can be really nasty if they summon more allies or throw Fire or either poisonous gas to us. We dispatched the critters easily, even if one of them produced a dense Mist that prevented the group of seeing, their Armor Class was too crappy to survive.
One of this Mephits exploded in a flash of light when Thoran killed it, wounding me and everyone else, but the damage that was done to us wasn't enough to end our lives, we all survived it.
Note from Crevs: P&P Mephits are even more annoying.
    image
We made our way towards a bigger platform on this plane, another group of this Mephits attacked us, they rendered Euridice unconscious and killed her, I, Antigona, will carry her body to the surface. Everyone is feeling sad, or sorry for her. We continued the fight and triumphed even if one of us died.image

Thoran's Journal: Toda' I met a genie who promised me party a sword if we bring him a flask he's "bound" to. Tha' Djinni says flask should be in the dungeon somewhere, only in thi' level also.
    image
I sent some of me lads for tha' flask, I will await mourning Euridice, fallen in battle. I will raise her as soo' as we get to a Temple.

You know, I had a similar idea for a play-through, although it was only good aligned people who can wear plate mail. The idea was kind of a "six heroic knights" sort of thing. Religious characters were also favoured highly. (being able to wear plate mail and all)

Hi, @CrevsDaak‌ , I know it's been a while since you posted this run, but, if you don't mind my asking, what resolution is that?

I really like it - if I ever play the original version again with the widescreen mod, I find my setup's native resolution of 1776X1000 to be far too zoomed out, and the resolution in your screen shots looks ideal.

    Thanks.

@BelgarathMTH‌ actually, the support for this resolution I use (1024x768) is available in the unmodded game (surprise!), open the baldur.ini (you can also edit this from the BGConfig.exe but I forgot how), and in the line that says "Resolution=800" change 800 by 1024.

Oh, sorry, I knew about that, but your screenshots look like they are wider than 1024x768. I guess my eyes are playing tricks. Thanks anyway. :)
