Baron Ployer

Is his name actually Baron Ployer? Or is his title Baron? Similar to the Baron of Ibelin from the film Kingdom of Heaven?

I can't imagine a former slaver having such a grand title however.

Thoughts?

Could be either. Certainly in the case of Lords the game doesn't have any consistency when it comes to whether or not they mention their first name.

There is a Baron Thelokassyil (of the Sahuagin). So "Baron" is probably his title.

My guess is that he was a Baron and traded slaves, so he is a corrupt Baron.

That was my impression as well. His dialogue indicates that he was apparently rather wealthy and high status at one time, before the revelation of his involvement in the slave trade ruined him - perhaps he had his inheritance and/or lands stripped from him, perhaps even his title as well?

I don't think Jaheira calls him Baron either, only Ployer. So either Baron is is first name, and Jaheira aims to belittle him by only using his family name, or Baron is his title, and Jaheira refuses to use his former title of nobility.

    Either way, Ployer's an asshat.
