problem with charmed persons in BGEE v1.2

hello all
i previous version i dont remember any problems with charmed persons but in v1.2, some charmed persons do not take my order to move to another spot!
atm i want to loot a certain shelf, in a certain shop, in SE BG, but damn charmed npc does not move and so i cant loot the shelf in question without killing him and losing 10 point of reputation.
so what can i do to solve this issue?

    Charmed creatures don't behave like PCs, you can't pick up stuff with em'.

    jahes64 is talking about moving them so that they are out of sight of one of your characters (for chest opening purposes).

    You might be able to use colour spray on them to knock them out (and then steal). Which shop owner is it?

    Here is a more murderous idea:Throw a dagger or axe at them via a npc and immediately pause and disband the npc from your group while the dagger is still mid-air. Thus when the dagger/axe hits the murderer npc won't be in your group and you won't take rep hit. Haven't tested this so I am not sure if it works like I thought. ^^ This suits Kagain (or Korgan in bg2) perfectly, he will kill the commoner for 'loot' lol

    Or summon a demon and it will gobble the peasant up quickly. You might have to cast reckless dweomers forever to attain gate result, though.

    Or have an enemy nearby and confuse the enemy via spell (rigid thinking, confusion, chaos):the enemy might attack the commoner and kill it while confused.

    Or a spook spell will cause the commoner to panic and wander away. Rigid thinking may be used for this purpose too. If the victim has no movement still, only way is killing them with the above ideas.

    as far as i know, charmed NPCs do not care a whit if i steal something in front of their eyes! but the problem is, that NPC in question, is blocking the very spot, that my character is supposed to stand at, to be able to loot the shelf

    @elminster‌
    color spray did not work, just knocked him unconscious in exact spot which he was standing at!
    and fyi, i am at "general store" which is located in north section of "baldurs gate south east".

    @CrevsDaak
    no go.

    @lunar
    the closest thing at my disposal was "wand of fear" which i tested several times and never worked. and i am talking about the first game.

    Wand of fear does not work on neutral targets. Punch him to make him hostile and try wand of fear or horror spell again. With a yellow circle if the commoner is still immobile you need to kill him/her with the trick I 'axe/dagger in the air' mentioned above.

    You can buy a scroll of Teleport Field in Sorcerous Sundries. You may only get this one scroll though so if you want the spell you should get a mage to learn it instead.

    Cast Teleport Field in the area in question. Then turn off party AI (to prevent your party from doing something stupid) and proceed to punch the merchant.

    He/she should be teleported randomly to somewhere else (it may take a round for this to happen).

    Which NPC is it, in which area?

    @lunar and @elminster
    thanks for advice, after punching him, both wand of fear and teleport field trick worked fine.

    @Dee
    as i mentioned before, i am at "general store" which is located in north section of "baldurs gate south east".
    and one of of the shelves are blocked by one of the NPCs. (x=127, y=394, Area: AR1320)
    there was other similar problem with looting, but since the objects in question were empty, i did not bother reporting here.

    I prefer knocking them out or going in the night.

    Using the NPC disband trick is very cheesy for me.
    With fists, you pretend that you're mugging them.

    You don't become a murderer, just a thug. ;)

    thanks for the answers.
    coming at night seems to be the best solution.
