Hello guys!
WE BUILD A PARTY OF 4 - WE NEED 2 MORE PLAYERS!
(We will consider expanding to a group of 5 or 6 if we receive interesting character applications!)
If you are fans of Baldur's Gate, Role Playing, Coop games and D&D: Then you came to the right place!
I am looking to build a solid Baldur's Gate party.
The idea is to play the full BG storyline: Baldur's Gate 1, Tale of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate 2 and finally Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal.
What we need:
Serious and consistent players.
Guys that are enjoying D&D and are willing to play real Role Playing: with a focus on character personalities, relationships, character development and more.
Decision making as a party: discuss and argue head to head about choices within the game: all in the spirit of role playing: decide the next course of adventure, what to do with people and enemies we encounter, will we spare this person? will we accept this request? Will we break the law? etc.
Clashes between good, evil, law and chaos are always welcome.
Act as your character would behave in such situations: Role Playing is key for memorable adventures.
No run-and-gunners: no room here for players who plan on rushing through the game, hack and slashing and playing solo. We work as a team, and we all want to have fun.
Joking and fooling around is always welcome - as long as it doesn't break the game
Up to six players can be in the group - so I think we need to make a versatile party in terms of classes:
The party we have at the moment:
I plan on playing a Thief/Fight or Thief/caster class: not sure yet.
I already have one partner who plays a Mage/Cleric Half Elf.
My time zone is GMT +3:00
If you are interested, join the discussion here, and let's build an epic party of adventurers!

Pardon the late reply.
I am very busy as of late, tight schedule: work, studies and stuff.
So far we have:
Myself from Israel: playing Thief or Thief/Fighter or Thief/caster.
We have a guy playing a Mage/Cleric - his name is Marik, he will be posting here later.
What about you?
Don't dismiss it because you do not get a reply within a short time span.
Most groups take longer to get together, after all.
"Where" and "How" is undecided.
What is currently being discussed is what kind of characters to play and what kind of RP to do.
We also still need to interchange some 'background stories' so the character backgrounds are coherent,
and of course we have to decide who will be CHARNAME.
Once we're done with that, we'll fix a date to do a test run, to see whether we can play with the gaming plans we have now, or whether some things have to be changed. Things like how players communicate, how to do combat, how we shall roll the characters, etc.
Anyway, if you want to play, post your character here, and we can play together sometime to see how well we swing together. I will post my own character here later, also.
(The reason we didn't start with posting complete characters, is because I think it's more fun to start with a general idea of multiple characters, and then together create the details. You can have a more tight group-RP that way).
I would love to know if we can play on both plateforms, I mean, between Beamdogs multiplayer and Steam multiplayer, because you didn't specify on which one you would play. I'm on the Steam plateform actually.
My english isn't that good but my knowledges about the game could be precious. I can consider that as a good experience to improve my language. So, if I can play with you, it'll be a pleasure to do so.
To be frank, I think the English difficulties might be an issue I am afraid: Since we will be using Steam Voice chat along with chat. Also, since we are also playing for story and role playing, and not just gameplay - we will spend time reading through the dialogues that are written in literature-level English.
So in short, we will be speaking and handling English a lot.
We need to be on more or less even grounds in terms of English.
To answer your other questions:
I don't have BG1 or BG2 yet. I plan on buying if I see that we can build up a team, and my schedule allows.
We will buy BG1ee and play its playthrough. It will take a lot of time probably, so that's ok if you don't want to buy BG2ee ahead of time (although BG2+ToB is a masterpiece).
We will be playing from Steam multiplayer. Playing the Enhanced Editions.
I personally rather use Steam and avoid any other un-necessary software.
Additionally I will open a Steam group later for the party.
@Azeal Which character would you like to play?
So, tell me if it could be problematic.
However I am looking forward for the Steam Summer Sales, that are happening next week, I will see if BGEE and BG2EE gets a good sale, if so I will buy it.
However, I think some more information on your character is needed.
Something like this would suffice:
Name:
Backstory and personality:
Class:
Timezone in GMT:
The playthrough will probably begin after the Steam Sale, so take your time and think carefully if you need it.
Feel free to create your character beforehand and import it into the game later if you want to.
Born of a human mother, a native of Waterdeep, and a father elf, elven free electron, Vala Jil'ni spent her childhood with her parents in the City of splendors. Her mother owned a small bookstore, seeking only to introduce its readers the most interesting stories that were born in Faerun. Vala quickly learned to read and was always pushed by her mother to discover new things, and her father was delighted with her education.
Her father was a good hunter when Vala's mother met him. Why did he fall in love with a human? She is enthralling, with her long darkred hairs, her sweet and withish skin, and above all, she knows a lot of stories. Vala kept these attributes, but her father gave her this irresistible desire to move on, to discover and see what's really happening in the world.
That's why her parents let her to go to Candlekeep, the day she was 20, to find a way to meet people who are interesting, to read books, to hear stories, or to live them.
Vala Jil'ni is now 20 years old. She read alot about the divinities in Faerun. But she kept what she wanted to keep. She's a free spirit, she likes the philosophy of Eilistraee, Sharess, or Milil. She's individualistic and she enjoys doing what she thinks good for her, in the short term or long term. She doesn't like receiving orders unless they are smart. She keeps her songs for great occasions, preferring to play with her weapons, training herself quietly, as a relentless fighter.

as of right now i can nvr get a game started i see games with 1-2 player in the list but they all require PWs to join and the only time i got a game started it took over an hr to get 3 pple (2chars apiece) and then crashed after about 7 mins of gameplay. i just want a consistent group to play with for a 1-3 hrs a day an if u miss a day or 2 it wont hurt much.
Arcus Liethorn
Age: 32
Class: Ranger
Preferred weapons: longbow, dual short swords
Arcus grew up in a rural home, near the outskirts of Cloakwood. As the son of a Human male and an Elvish woman, he was a Half Elf, but had limited contact with the outside world until the day a man, clad in blackened armor that seemed to be at the point of burning, his face covered in a steel visor, rode to his door. At the time, Arcus was only four years of age. This man claimed to be a Paladin of Lolth, though he casted no spells and used no magic, he blatantly roared that the elvish woman be released to him at once. When Arcus's father went to speak to him, he was held at swordpoint.
After many threats and bluster, the man revealed that he was sent from the Temple of Lolth to uphold her law and return their sacrifice to the temple. Clearly mistaken, he would not admit his mistake... until Arcus's father drew his sword.
The Paladin of Lolth slew Tam Liethorn, Arcus's father, in cold blood. His mother, Leena Liethorn, still pregnant with Arcus's unborn little brother, ran to her fallen husbands side, before the paladin scooped her into his saddle. With a curt nod to the boy standing shellshocked in the doorway, he vanished, leaving the boy alone, a burning hatred festering inside of his soul.
The years passed, and Arcus learned from the Druids and Rangers of Cloakwood. He honed his skills until he was fourteen years of age, before setting out to find his mother, even though he did not know where she might be. He had only the words of the man.
Years of searching for his mother, getting his hands dirty and losing hope, Arcus stumbled upon a sign in an inn. It was a bounty, for a kidnapping that had occurred over twenty years ago. The picture was faded, old, and the fabric gossemar by this point, but it was clear. It was his mother. A faint glimmer of hope appeared in the half-elf, and he knew, he'd need to once more pick up the trail.
Likes: a drink in the evening, attractive women, Wolves, people who speak properly (even though he doesnt)
Dislikes: Drow, Paladins, Lawful good and Chaotic Evil alignment
