Importing From BG1-BG2: What Items Carryover?

Hey,

So... I am about to fight Sarevok (for the second time) under the Thieve's Guild. As far as I know, after that fight, the game is over. So my question is: Which items carryover into BG2 and do I need to equip them on my main character for them to carryover? I don't really expect any kind of definitive list, just any items you may think it's important to have. Thanks.

    You get one from each list (armor and miscellaneous) and they have to be at least in the inventory of your main character. You can also bring the golden pantaloons into BG2.

    @elminster Thanks for the link... There doesn't seem to be too many items that transfer over (and the ones that do seem kinda arbitrary), but I'll roll with it...
