Killing drizzt in sorcerers sundries

ok, so I'm playing an evil party and I refused to help drizzt fight the knolls. When I get access to baldurs gate, the first place i go is sorcerers sundries and low and behold drizzt is there waiting for me. I'm not sure how many hit points he has but that doesn't matter because I can't hit the s.o.b. Any suggestions? playing on core rules difficulty.

    I have never heard of Drizzt coming back anywhere in BG1 after you cross his path in the Sword Coast, are you running any mods ?

    Drizzt makes sarevok look like a pansy.

    His stats are based on nothing but 'ZOMG TEH DRITZ!!1!', so he is stupidly overpowered. I dont remember how I killed him with my cleric/thief solo, but I surely wanted that hawt blue armour. Probably lamed with backstabs.

    It sucks because he is in sorcerer sundries. If I want to by anything there I need to defeat him first.
