so was reputation somehow patched? 1 reputation and can still buy things from stores?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I heard that once you get to 1 rep you cannot buy things from stores. Was this patched somehow?

    No, the manual was incorrect. You could still buy items at a markup of 900%.

    @Sergio - the existing system already does use charisma (as well as reputation).

    I always found the prices increases with low reputation a little strange.

    Big bad armoured group walks into my shop. Low reputation check party linked to many murders on the Sword Coast. Here is a 900% mark up on all my goods.

    If you kill me, the other shops will only charge you more. So... you know... Don't.

    I never found it weird. lower your prices or die kind of concept.

    But it works in reverse! The lower your rep, the more evil you are, the higher the prices in shops get...
