Paladin: Cavalier kit

It is known that the Cavalier can't use missile weapons. So why can he use all types of throwing axes? Is this some sort of bug or the throwing axes are not considered as missile weapons? Any confirmation of that?

    No as I understand it not a bug. Many of those axes have a melee component to them as well, and are as such, usable. :)

    Returning dagger and returning axe. I found mine really underpowered in missile weapons. Use them as spellcaster/melee.

    They also can't be dual wielded can they, in melee mode I mean. Which counts as a mark against them. (Big dual wielding fan)
