Windspear Hills - Garren No valid replies or links

Apon entering Windspear Hills and defeating the first enemies Garren talks to me but the conversation ends in "No valid replies or links", I cannot opt to go with him to his home and he remains there permanently. Not sure how to fix this, have tried force talking to him with other characters and the option is still missing.

    The problem here is that your PC has the gender "Both" instead of "Female" or "Male". Any idea why?

    Seems like it was edited to me. No worries if it gets moved to not an issue (in all my years of BG (few anyway) I never found a way to get the Both gender.ids value on my PC without editing it).

    Aah thank you, you are legendary! :D It was edited indeed, I think I have played each and every male portrait so I wanted to play a female one but I think the female romance options are lame!
