Can I delete spells from an NPC's spellbook?

I recklessly copied every spell I found to Jan's spellbook and now I'm wondering, is there a way to delete some, making room for others?

You can buy Potions of Mind Focusing from temples (or potions of genius) if you want to raise his intelligence to the point where he can learn any number of spells. That said erasing a spell is really simple. Go into his mages spellbook. Right click the spell you want to get rid of (make sure to right click in the book, where your list of learned spells are, and not in your list of memorized spells). Then click the "erase" button.
