Questions about compatibilities, between original EE, and transition from 1EE to 2EE...

Well, i found out i can use my maxed, ToB, original characters, in EE. They import just nicely, with all their level, experience, even spells! Minus the HLA spells and abilities, of course, and some certain items, 1EE does not recognize (like BG2 original items, the cleric exclusive rings, etc). This is not a problem, i guess now for second EE playthrough, i can afford breaking the game with my old, ToB main alone... But, since i still have not bought the 2EE yet, i need to get some info beforehand, so as to plan my items/characters etc more precisely for it... Specifically:

1) The items/spells, that were lost on imported characters from ToB original to 1EE, will they be somehow *retrieved* upon importing them in 2EE, without need for editor?
2) Will my cleric regain the lost ring in 2EE, somehow get it back with another method, or should i import him anew from 2 original to 2EE directly?
3) Will the wrongly displayed hitpoints in 1EE, be restored in 2EE? (the hitpoints of my maxed imported characters from 2 original, that is)

Worst case scenario, i stomp everything in game flat in 2 hours for the satisfaction of it, and when i get 2EE, i import them anew from 2 original. But, if anyone knows, please let me know? Thanks in advance...

Why on earth would you even want to? The character is going to be so overpowered your game isn't going to be the least bit challenging to you, and your play through will probably end up being quite boring for you.

No, it was really fun... My kensai/thief made mincemeat out of everything. And i enjoyed my thieving skills (stormed into everything, opened up anything i could find, stole to my heart's content, and all this without even a single gulp of pot master thievery!)! Especially since BG1EE has katanas, i got myself one (bg2's wasn't recognized), fetched the crossbow from Baldur's Gate (slain man's brother come to avenge him, always helped the druid instead of him...), and toyed with everything the oldfashioned, cat with mouse style...

Can't answer your questions specifically, but I believe it is easiest to use EE Keeper to edit characters and inventoy.

Is there even enough XP in BGEE to get a TOB character up a single level?

I've always wanted to do a "kill everything playthrough. Pretty self explanatory. But I would import from ToB to do that.

Beware Gorion and Tethroril. In original 1, if you felt like attacking them, they would kill you in an instant, with one cast. Here, i have not tried that, but i got my lesson back then.

Hmmm, next week i am going to buy the 2EE, so i will have my issues answered by trial and error, anyways. For now, six stash characters is just what i really needed, that is why i created them. Reimporting everyone anew in 2, is what i am going to do. Or maybe i will take for a third and final EE playthrough, an original 1 (final) character, send to 2 original to convert in 2's system, and then import that in 1EE! Most probably my handmade wild mage! I love this char, even though wild surges are a risk (EE seems to have corrected the exploit i so much praised before, about nullifying surge chance).
