Grandmasteries

Hi, this post is for both BGEE and BG2EE.

I still don't get the Grandmasteries in weapon.

How do you know who can be a ''GrandMAster'' in which weapon profiency and not ? Which NPC and Class as what ?

So far even with my lv28 characters I have no one with grandmasters..... So for my futur runthrough the game I would love to know how it works

Only fighters and archers (this is a ranger kit) can get grandmastery in a weapon. It means that you have ***** in a weapon. Dual classes that include a fighter (so say a fighter -> mage dual class) also can get it but not multi-classes. A few fighter kits (dwarven defender, kensai and berserker) also have restrictions on where you can put proficiency points.

Rangers, Paladins, and Barbarians can only get specialisation (**) in a weapon (the only exception to this is the Archer kit for the ranger).

To be honest its not that big of a deal if you don't have it. If you want in for your next BG2EE run through then take either Mazzy, Anomen, or Korgan in your group. You aren't going to get it in BGEE without either being a dual class character or removing the level cap (just because of how proficiency points are distributed at different levels for different classes).
