Respec points?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Is it possible to respec, and if so, how do you do it? I went two handed, and I'm thinking of going dual wield.

    Not without using eekeeper, or some other cheats I think

    Maybe I'm missing something here but why not just roll a new character? BG's a kind of a learn-as-you-go-along sort of thing.
