Wizard slayer + Ranged Combat?

Does anyone know if the wizard slayer fighter kit applies the %casting failure when using a ranged weapon, or is it only applied on melee attacks?

    Looking at the ability in Near Infinity (SPCL133.spl/SPCL132.Eff) it looks like its a change that is being made in the BGEE 1.3 patch. So while in 1.2 it won't do this in 1.3 it should be doing this.

    In the case of BG2EE it won't be doing this though I'm sure that whenever the next BG2EE patch comes out they will make it so that it will.
