Broken Magic Sword

I bought a broken magic sword from Bentley. Is there a way to repair the item? He is also selling a broken magic armour.

@sylvanus, do you have BG1 NPC Project installed and Eldoth in your party ?

If this is indeed the case, those broken items are useless. In fact, Bentley will only sell useless items, if he sees that Eldoth is with you, because he is angry at him

Try removing temporarily Eldoth from your party, or simply moving him to the second floor of the Inn, before talking to Bentley.
