@jesbran You obviously haven't read the entire thread. And it's quite difficult to get all things correct while on the mobile site. His point was that dice rolls at all levels from low to high would be low chances while is true there are also multiple methods in which to roll stats increasing the chances you get your needed stats as well as DM approved point buy.

He is also saying that you need high strength to to be on par with all other fighters because if you don't have an 18 in strength you aren't strong enough. Which means that while your character can have those insane stats the average or normal person in the world would not have them. Same with an apprentice wizard odds are he has an intelligence score of 12 allowing him to begin life as a wizard, but to go beyond he would have to put more effort into it to unravel spells and understand them through intense studying and increasing age over the years enhancng his repetoire of knowledge, but a true born genious with a natural int score of 14 could continue much farther and possibly faster than the one with 12 intelligence.

Not trying to insult, but everyone having a hard time grasping what the difference in the numbers is frustrating as if no one has even looked at DnD before.

Ah, an ad hominem. We need less assertions and more demonstrations.
