about slings (newb question)

Do i need any ammo for it, cause my characters that have it wielded do not fire it, how do you make a character use it?

Yes. You need to buy bullets (available everywhere that sells slings). Put the bullets in your ammunition slots (with the faint arrows on them, upper left of your equipment page), then ready the sling in the weapon slot, and you should be good to go!

You can buy enchanted bullets that do fire damage, but that's beside the point.

Yeah back when I first played IWD2, my first D&D experience ever, I thought so too. Bullets=wow there must be some primitive revolver or firearms stuff. Cool! I also had no idea mages can scribe scrolls into their spellbooks to learn them and wasted many powerful and unique spell scrolls by casting them.

Maybe 'Sling stones' might have been a better name...
