Transferring character saves from BG:EE [Windows] to BGII:EE [iPad]

Hello,
I am considering to buy BGII:EE for my (new) iPad instead of playing it on my (very old) Windows laptop and wonder if it is possible (without hours of work) to transfer my character save from BGi:EE on Windows to the iPad?
I do not have a MacBook at home, so the information which I find on the net so far does not help me a lot.
I would be very grateful, if someone could help me out. Otherwise I would buy me the Windows version.

Only if you can transfer program files on the Ipad. I read somewhere that it has to be jailbroken.

You just need iFunbox (and you don't need to jailbreak).

You can put custom portraits, save and character files into Ipad game and even can do some modding thanks to Ifunbox program. For more info about modding on Ipad, here is my own thread. (Shameless self promotion ^^)
