Cross-platform (PC, iOS) ver 1.3

Hi,

has anyone tried to play a multiplayer game of BG:EE ver 1.3 on these two platforms? I want to play with some friends and need to know if I should buy the game from the app store. (Btw. I've played the game countelss times so I know it's a great singleplayer experience as well.)
