Voice Set Modding acm2wav.exe?

Greetings adventurers,

Awhile back I asked if anyone knew of a program that converts .wav formatted sound files to the .wavc formatted voice set files from IWD and IWD2. No one seemed to know what I was talking about. I've made a Deekin voice set using sound files from NWN, and I have other ideas in mind too, but I cannot get them to play in BGEE or BG2EE, I think, because they are still .wav and not .wavc.

I stumbled on some files today while going through my computer and found the acm2wav.exe, which I think might be the program I used long ago to convert .wavc to .wav (so I could use some of the voice sets for a little application I made for fun).

Anyway, is anyone familiar with this program at all? Does anyone know if this might be the program I need to make my Deekin and other voice sets work in the EEs?

I do not know enough about the IE sound files to make that judgement call. Maybe this'll jog someone's memory :)

An excerpt from the readme file:
Usage:

acm2wav filename.acm

run in dos prompt

Meaning that the acm2wav.exe and the file you want to convert to wav (*.acm)
must be in the same directory. So for instance, if you wanted to convert
maintheme.acm you would type:
acm2wav mainthem.acm [press Enter]
That's it... the rest is done by the program and the output is the
mainthem.wav file (which you can later convert to mp3 if you want).

wavc filewhatever.wavc filewhatever.wav
