Any confirmation available on whether chitin.key and dialog.tlk will ever be accessible for Android?

Last post that I can find says it was being looked at back in July. Is there any word on whether or not this is still be looked at or considered? An Override folder for this would be great, even if the support ends there, a lot of stuff might not work, but some will. The main selling point of the tablet version for me was that it would be moddable and I'd love to dive back into working on this game. If not, that's fine too but if there are no plans I'd just like to know so I can stop waiting.
Any word?

I was able to mod my game on an unjailbroken Ipad by using 'portraits' folder. It works like the coveted override folder. I can't touch dialog.tlk so most mods are no-go but I can edit spells, items, areas, creatures, scripts, etc. And can get %80 of the content of scs work. It works well and I am proud with my scs bg1-2 game on Ipad. Check the thread I linked I think the same arrangement can be done on Android as well, and if anything, it should be a lot easier to do so! (Android is supposed to be 'more open' than ios, righto?)
