Imoen can't cast spells

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Just started BG2 on the ipad.
Imoen can memorize spells but can't cast them. Is this a bug or is there something I have to do firsdt?

    You can't cast wizard spells with armor on.

    Either you're wearing armor as gravedigger suggested or you haven't slept yet.

    Thanks. Never used a fighter/Mage before. Forgot about the armor.
