what is wrong with my portrait image?

hi,
so i wanted to use my own custom portrait, so i got a picture from the internet and cropped it.
it is 210x330 pixel.
24bit image.
i copied it in the portrait folder.
it showed up as selectable ingame.
and then it sait:
"The image you selected is too large"

why?
it hase the right pixel size.
it is 24 bit.
what do i miss?

    forget it, i used another save method which was also 24bit, which should be the same, but now it works... no idea what went wrong...
