Help with my party

Hi,
It's my first time playing ID, and frankly I'm bit overwhelmed by how many choices i have (i always want to try all characters out xP - well maybe one day i will manage to do that, but for now i want to build some awsome party for start), so:
This is whats my thought are:
1) Pure Mage (i love spellcasters, and the one with the most variety of spells to choose from, always are my first choice)
2) Fighter/Thief, Kensai/Thief, Kensai/Assassin (if you know any mod that allow dual kites?) + invisibility scrolls/potions - at what level is it best to change for thief for the best result - speaking only fight-wise (not taking into account tief abilities like picking locks and such)
3) Fighter/Cleric or Druid - whats your thoughts about them, which one is better, as offensive caster with ability to heal? I heard that its better to take druid, but glyph-like offensive spells of cleric (like Symbol: Death) looks very nice (it can be used as traps to lure monsters into it) and as far as i know druids dont have such kind of spells - mostly aoe spells, which can be tricky to use when other party members are near - they have summons though (although clerics also have some) (btw. is there any site that shows druid spells as well as spells awailable for rangers, bards, paladins, as well as the spells for specific aligment for wizards and clerics - in the manual, i've found only list of spells for wizard and cleric, without grouping for specific aligment
------------------
And this is what im pretty sure of - but what now?
4) Jester - i never enjoyed playing bard classes before, but jesters kind of offensive songs seem nice (at least on paper) - whats your thoughts about this class?
5 and 6) somethink from this classes:
- fighter or kensai
- ranger (are bows op in this game as they were in BG?)
- Dragon Disciple/ Wild Mage - which one is better? special ability of DD is always one per day or is it 1/few levels/per day?
- Class which wasn't chosen in No.3
Help me, judge me, teach me, guide me o WISE-ONES
