Reform Party - Create New Character

If I choose to reform my party and remove a character, can I create a new character and effectively replace him/her? I thought this was possible in the old version, but I must be missing something as I don't see anywhere to create a new character. I just want to create a new level one character of a different gender/class, etc.

You are not; it has 'moved'

You need to move your save game to the multiplayer section and then load it, change the character, save it and then move the game back to single player to accomplish what you desire.
