audio issues?

Before I go asking for tech support through the appropriate channels, i had a question.
Sometimes the music shows up in the first town outside, sometimes it doesn't. No real sounds during battle or when spells are cast, but i do get sounds when i get them to move, clicks (which sound about right from the original edition)
Is there supposed to be more? or am i missing something?
or is something wrong?
