[Fixed] [Windows] [Steam] Game Settings should not reset on game quit

Don't know if this is just me... posted the issue on steam forums and got no response.
verified game files through steam properties.
Not modded in any way.
Problem:
Open game.
go to gameplay options
go to assign keys
eg. quick save - F5
click Done
click Done
Will work perfectly fine during the game.
Close game.
reopen game.
assigned keys have been reset to their default keys.
Problem:
open game
go to gameplay options
change difficulty
click done
exit game
reopen game.
difficult reset to normal.
Can someone please verify that this isn't just me?
If it *is* just me, any advice on what I can try?
** As it stands, I cannot play the game. **

Deleted the "Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition" folder in my documents (after backing up saves) and reloaded - works now.
