Starting Gold?

I made a Fighter/Illusionist in a party by himself and he started with 240 GP. According to the manuals, starting gold for such a character would go off of the Fighter Class (since it has the most favorable chance for gold) and would be 50-200gp. So apparently he started 40gp past his max allowance. Am I missing something with how EE sets up gold for characters? Maybe its always been this way but I just noticed so I figured I'd ask.

Thanks @Lord_Tansheron I didn't figure it for a bug but I guess I stand corrected.

I don't know if it's actually a bug or if they just changed the amount of starting gold you get. Afaik the IWD:EE manual doesn't say anything about the amount of starting gold you get but maybe I missed it.

Anyways, my last party of 4 got something around 800gp but only 3 of them were at least partially warrior classes. I just did some testing with a newly created F/M/T and he got somewhere between 200 and 320gp iirc.

I was referring to the original IWD manual from the original game - should have clarified there. Is why I was curious if there was a change with EE.
