Why assign map info to character dialogue?

Hi - In Iranicus' dungeon, at the beginning of the game, there's a few places where scene information is given to the player in text. I'm wondering why that information is now spoken through the nearest character. It's dry narrator information, and never fits well with any character. Why spend time on making this change?

It's not big deal, but because it's not big deal... why do it? Feels like someone slipped this in... off the official task list.

Not sure, never noticed this change myself, but maybe it's tied in with the pause cheat people would use to drop all their gear on the floor before it was stripped at the start of the game. In BG2:EE, it's no longer possible to do this.

    Can you give an example?

Yes please. I don't recall seeing this happening. The only text I've encountered hasn't been part of any characters dialogue that I could see. It's exactly how I recall the original to be.
