Does the Shadow Gem you find in the mines during Rasaad's quest in TOB do anything or is used for anything?

    So, either no one has any idea or this forum is dead. Given the very little activity I've seen lately, I fear the latter. Seriously is this game even being worked on anymore? I know IWD:EE is out and everyone is raging about it, but the devs really need to clean up the bugs in BG2:EE (they are legion) especially since it's the priciest of the bunch.
