Can game be played in 'windowed mode' and at different screen resolutions? e.g. 1600 x 1200 screen res in windowed mode

    Yeah, it can be played in windowed mode. Not sure about the resolution part of your question, but I think I've seen TrentOster mentioning the BGEE will support higher resolutions than that.
