tooltips cut off on mac

playing on 27" imac with yosemite and just got BGEE from the mac app store. really annoying issue :/

i tried changing font size and both window mode and fullscreen, and restarting the app. didn't help.

then i turned off "scale user interface" and it fixed it. but now everything is small. i think it should work in both modes.

    Is this a new Retina iMac? If so, this is a known issue, and you can work around it by configuring the display to a non-retina mode. This retina issue is resolved in IWD:EE and BGII:EE.

    it's a 2009 27" iMac.
