Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Since the new patch, are there anyway to turn on or off hit point in portrait or it a permanent thing?

I believe that is a feature that is exclusive to the icewind dale series, although after this new patch they might incorporate that feature to bg2

Go into baldur.ini found in
documents/baldur's gate 2 enhanced edition
For this line
'Game Options', 'Show Character HP', '1',
Change the 1 to a 0.

Thank you, I wonder why they did not put it directly in the gameplay option it will be more easy that way.

I think it is a very useful thing to show, because 61 hit points is safe against a power word:kill spell, but 60 or below is not. Or other hp limits for the equally dreaded pw:stun.
