intelligence loss - how to recover

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
I noticed a party member lost 1 intelligence point after drinking a potion. Any idea how to recover? The stat is in red font, so I guess it can be recovered.

Any help appreciated.

So far I tried resting and cure disease.

    If you're really desperate you could try using Ctrl+R over the character. You'll need to enable the debug mode though.

    Was it a transference potion, some potions drop one stat by one and raise another by two. Permanently.

    I've only found one such potion, and after using it, the affected decreased stat was not in red.

    Doesn't it say somewhere on your character sheet what spells/effects are active on the character? Any little symbols on the character portrait? I'd think either of those would explain a stat decrease.

    If 'Greater Restoration' doesn't fix it, it was probably a transference potion and the changes are permanent.

    There's no transference potion that effects intelligence.

    Try remove curse or dispel magic. Sometimes when you get hit by greater mummies they have a stat drain.

    Thank you all, problem solved.

    It was definitely a potion I drunk accidentally.

    In any case the effect has been removed probably by a dispel coming from an enemy.
