BG2 EE Inventory screen original character appearance

It may be just me but it seems to me that the original look of characters in the inventory screen in BG2 was a lot better than in BG2:EE. After playing through BG:EE I was all pumped up to start BG2:EE then I saw my characters appearance in the inventory screen and I was struck by it. It completely killed my buzz, please change it back?
