can you solo the black pits 2

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Ive seen people solo the black pits 2 but what build would be the best and more specifically could it be completed with a fighter/thief multiclass ?

    Sorcerer or fighter/mage would be best. I wouldn't go with F/T but it's probably possible.

    what about a figher/cleric ?

    It's probably possible as well.

    If you want to go fighter/thief or fighter/cleric then you might as well go fighter/mage/thief or fighter/mage/cleric instead. What you'd lose in faster levelling progression you more than make up with the inclusion of mage spell access.
