I'm just putting this out there, for anyone and everyone. Please overhaul Dark Omen!

The game still has a lot of fans despite it not being playable on up-to-date systems without workarounds.
The content really doesn't need to be changed - it's just getting it to play.
It would play perfectly on tablets.

Those are my three good reasons for it, I'm sure there are probably thirty legal reasons against it but I'll keep dreaming! :)

Edit: For people not familiar with the game:

Dark Omen stands next to Baldur's Gate as *the* games of my youth. :)

I remember playing Shadow of the Horned Rat too. Classic games:) One of the few RTS I've ever played (not my cup of tea).

I've played Warhammer: Mark of Chaos quite a bit, but not the earlier ones.

What is really lacking, though, is a CRPG set in the Warhammer universe! WFRP is one of my favourite tabletop systems, and Warhammer is a well known licence, so I'm not sure why nobody's tried to make one.

For fans of the Warhammer setting: word has it Sega are doing a Warhammer: Total War!! Although I haven't really been into the Total War games after Medieval 2 (Rome was the best IMO), it could be interesting.

Also, if you prefer skirmish games, you might want to check out the new Mordheim, which is currently available on Steam as one of those early access things.

It wasn't until years after playing Dark Omen that I discovered it was the sequel to Shadow of the Horned Rat, by then I couldn't find a copy.

I've played Mark of Chaos quite a bit, but it didn't have the same impact for me that Dark Omen did.

Thanks for the link @Squire. Though I've never played any of the Total War games (I don't think I'd have the patience for the 'out of battle' world map stuff), I'd definitely be will to give Total War: Warhammer a go! I hope they'll concentrate as much on the story as they will the strategy.

And you're right, a 'Baldur's Gate' in the Warhammer universe would be amazing! :)
