When was Arundel attacked and replaced? Was the real Arundel ever present in Kuldahar to greet the party?
I always thought the answer was yes, and he was supplanted right before he sends you to Dragon's Eye -- but then again -- all the plots are connected one to the other, after the Temple of the Forgotten God. So perhaps he was taken before that? Perhaps he was taken before you come into the town at all?
An interesting note -- When you use a ranger and do the Tracking ability inside Arundel's home (this information doesn't change and can be done before you even talk to him for the first time) you receive the following information:
Even though this is obviously a house, there are no physical traces of habitation, nor are there tracks from a resident entering or exiting the building.
Also, a simple track on the main Kuldahar map yields:
...Occasionally, you find a large green scale, possibly from an unusually large snake.
Again, this can be done the very first time you ever enter Kuldahar. This possibly points to Arundel being abducted even *before* the party from Easthaven arrives. Though - If that is the case, where's the real Arundel whose body you discover later? Perhaps he's imprisoned? Perhaps he was real the whole time until that point and the tracking data just is meant to be considered later in the storyline?
What do you guys think?

Regarding the tracks outside Arundel's dwelling, he *is* the arch-druid, and probably regularly among the residents. I always thought such a person could pass without leaving any tracks, as should any high level ranger, and few people in Kuldahar would have need or want to bother him.
As for when Arundel is replaced, I think it takes place shortly after dealing with Yxunomei. RBP/Belhifet seems ignorant that you gained the Heartstone, and later states his surprise that you managed to get the elven arch-mage Larrel to use it.
