Black Pits glitch

Hey everyone,
I'm finally getting around to playing the Black Pits. But when I get to the second level of tier 3(the one with all the clay golems) something funny is happening. When we get teleported in, the genie guy is standing in the middle of the arena like how he is in the store place. I can even talk to him and rest mid-battle. When the battle is over and Baeloth comes back to talk, the screen fades out and the would you like to rest text box comes up, but then it just leaves us in the pit. The Genie and Baeloth are both there but I can't talk to either of them.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any and all help is appreciated!
