Is there any way to remove the health numbers above character portraits?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I can't find the option for it anywhere. The numbers are especially irritating on saved games and I'd like to hide them because they're a bit of an eye-sore. Will I have to disable them in console somewhere or is there an option that I've just overlooked? Any help is appreciated.

    Does this mean they are on by default for tablets? I ask because I can't edit my iPad's Baldur.ini file.
