Druid Hit Points......................

Log_HorizonLog_Horizon Member Posts: 8
Has anyone noticed that Druid's Hit points are totally calculated Wrong?...

Fighter/Druid Dual class.... 18 Con.... +4 HP bonus for Fighter and +4 bonus to Druid (Druid should get +2)

Lvl 1 had 13 HP..... Fighter 10HP + 4HP bonus /2 = 7hp Druid 8HP + 4HP bonus /2 = 6 13.....

It however should be Druid 8 +2 = 5.......... I've also noticed in several forums that several people have stated that Druids get 1 D6 hit die not 1D8. If that's the case then druids HP is seriously messed up...

It works this way for any multiclass that is part warrior (fighter or ranger).

Also, druids definitely roll 1D8 for hit points.

Same happens with fighter/cleric so it isn't unqiue to druid.

I'm not sure that is how it works. I think it divides only one con bonus (4) between the classes. So something like:

    10 hp per fighter level/2 = 5 + 2 con bonus = 7 hp/level for fighter levels

    +

    8 hp per druid level/2 = 4 + 2 con bonus = 6hp/level for druid levels

= 13 hp per level total.

That's how it is supposed to happen under 2ED rules. Warrior multiclasses get the full con bonus for all of their classes, not just the warrior part.

That would be a bug as Druid shouldn't get 4 hp from 18 con (albeit divided by 2).

    It's (d10/2=5) + (d8/2=4) = 9 + 4 CON = 13. It's correct.

Why does the druid portion of the HP benefit from the high con though?

I actually did not realize that. I have a lot of fighter multiclasses who could benefit strongly from higher Con. Huh.

That's the standard maximum HPs for a druid with 16 or more constitution - 9 d8 + 2 constitution bonus and 4 lots of 2 HPs per level after level 9.
