Mods for Steam Versions

Does anybody have any information about if the Steam versions of BG:EE and BG2:EE are on par with the Beamdog versions in terms of modding? I know steam has some issues with other games but I want to ask here if anybody has any idea what it's like before I go installing a bunch of stuff.

I've only used the Steam versions, and haven't had any issues.

It's the same. There should be no differences when installing mods either in Beamdog or Steam.

What CrevsDaak said. I've actually been working on some of my mods while doing the steam version.

The only difference I'd imagine is where your game is installed.

For Steam games are installed in your steam library, which is usually something like:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

Beautiful. Can't wait to play again, enough time has passed to allow the nostalgia to rekindle.

They don't need to be installed there. You can create a separate library outside of the Program Files folder that Steam can access. I have my Steam games on a completely different partition than the client itself.
