BG II EE Multiplayer cheats

HI,
Hope that you ca help me.
Playing multiplayer with a friend of mine I found that only he can use ctrl+j and the other cheats but on singleplayer i can use them too. Is there a way to use in multi?

As far as I know, only the creator of the game can use Cheats, but I remember playing with someone who was able to use the CLUAConsole Commands if I remember right, maybe not.
