Can't do unseeing eye quest

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
So, the preacher did his spiel. But the priest of Helm just says that he has nothing more for me to do, he won't send me on the unseeing eye quest. Also, in the sewers, I can't enter the unseeing eye area.

I was hoping to do that quest and get the piece of Gax...but it looks like it is shut off to me. Any advice on what I should do?

    Hmm, are you talking of High Watcher Oisig? Because if you are not, and speak to the other Helmite in the temple, he is not the one to give you the quest. Check other temples as well and speak to the leader of each temple.

    High Watcher Oisig isn't there...

    edit: Nevermind! I found him...he wasn't in the usual place. But thank you! You made me go back and look for him. I am now officially a happy person. :)

    Then go check other temples. I don't know whether you play with EE, but I had this bug once (was not playing cleric, but still got the quest from Talos Temple leader)
