Baleful Armor

I quick question here - it says in the description that it makes the wearer immune to some mind affecting stuff and there is confusion specifically mentioned. Yet when I trigger traps in the Severed Hand, my fighter gets confused all the same.

Is it a bug or are certain effects excluded "just because"?

    ^^ that. trap effects are different than spell effects, and unless they coded it specifically to ward against that effect, it still triggers.

    you're right though, confusion is confusion, and something that supposedly wards you from it should work everywhere.

    Limitations of either the engine, dev or modder. All modern games are chock full of them.

    yeah, not bug, more like... oversight.

    it could be added in easily enough. go suggest it on the 1.4 bug forum.

    "Confusion" is capitalized as in the spell, not the status effect.

    @ameliaboggins I play without a thief. The fighter is here to take punishment. The cleric/mage to patch him up after ;)
