    Which mods do you use? Some graphic/user interface mod may be causing conflict with the newest patch. The solution is uninstalling each mod one by one and see which isthe culprit.
    Also, since you can copy dialog.tlk, I assume you are jailbroken?

    Okay, glad it works. Errm, I still think 19 mods are tad too much for iwd, I don't even know 19 iwd mods. May I ask what mods do you have?

    A ctd like that could be from a broken cre file, sure enough, but it only happens when you enter the area with that creature. Game failing to even enter the title screen means something much more serious, IMHO

    Could it be that mods are copying DRMTXT2.2DA DRMTXT3.2DA, DRMTXT4.2DA, DRMTXT5.2DA, DRMTXT6.2DA, and DRMTXT7.2DA into the game? I would do a search through them looking for those.

    He wrote the new character gets the powers, not that he gets them one by one at chapter change.
