Trapped on Burial Island

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
As title says... In some of the fights my ppl got confused and one must have thrown a stone in direction of young ned :( He is hostile now, and wont take me back to Lonelywood. Am i doomed to rot on this island or is there any ingame solution for this problem? Would use the ship by myself and try to sail back but unfortunately game is not designed that flexible...

    You could charm him, but you'll have to lower his 100% magic resistance first.
