Newbie Ready for Adventure!

Hello everyone!
I'm brand spanking new to the BG games. I started playing a single player game, but I am very interested in multiplayer. I rolled an elf Archer and want to play all the way through with him. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Any groups gracious enough to bring me in please hit me up and let my composite bow work for you!

I am pacific standard time, however I'm a truck driver so I'm on the road a lot. i usually get 1 or 2 days off on the weekend so flexibility would be awesome.
